Bandleden Alfredo Gonzalez
is a qualified pianist who took up the guitar and became a servillette scribbler by a matter of chance. His first official work was published in 2003 with the title of “La vida de alquiler” (Rented Life) (Autoedición, 2003). After presenting this in different parts of Spain, particularly in Asturias, he wrote and recorded songs for a new demo with the intention of publishing a second CD nationwide. DFX Records took an interest in him and reached an agreement for three albums, the first of which was published in October 2008, with the title of “Dudas y precipicios” (Doubts and precipices). In January 2009, after coming to an agreement with record label L’Aguañaz for bringing out an album entirely in the Asturian language, “La nada y tu” (You and Nothingness) came out, made up of ten songs with lyrics by today’s best Asturian poets. That same year “Dudas y precipicios” won him the AMAS award for Best Lyricist and the AMAS award for the Best Videoclip; “La nada y tu” won the RPA Critics prize for the Meyor Discu d’Autor (best singer-songwriter album) and the Premiu al Meyor Cantar 2008 (best song) for the title song of the album. He is currently presenting the works “Dudas y precipicios” and “La nada y tu”, which are reaping great success among both critics and public.
