Is a singer from Nice in France. Zine sings in Provençal and in French. In her music she makes a combination of traditional South African dance music, with modern electronic influences.
Zine is not only a musician, she is also teacher at the only occitian languages Calendreta-school from nice and surrounding areas. Zine is one of the most interesting newcomers in the rich occitian music scene. Even her personal background is interesting. Zine was born in Morocco and half Corsican, half Piedmont. She learnt Nissart, the language of Nice, later when she came to the city. Her performances have something theatrical, and its always a surprise to see witch hair colour Zine will have at the show. There’s never a dull moment with this colourful artist from the low parts of France.
