Liet 2010

All winners of Liet International

European minority song contest Liet International has been organised six times until now. Four editions took place in the Frisian capital of Ljouwert/Leeuwarden, the other two in Swedish Lapland in the cities of Östersund (2006) and Lulea (2008). In 2010 the seventh edition of Liet International will be organised in the city of An Orient/Lorient in Breizh/Brittany.

The list of winners clearly shows that until now the Sámi are by far the most succesfull minority in terms of winning Liet International. They won 4 out of the six editions until now. The two times they did not win (in 2002 and 2008), the Sámi participant was second. Also quite succesfull was Corsica. They only participated once in 2008, but that year Jacques Culioli won both prizes.
