een jonge Sámi rockband uit het noorden van Finland, ver boven de poolcirkel. SomBy won tijdens het Paasweekeinde de Sámi Grand Prix 2009. De Sámi Grand Prix is het songfestival voor alle Sámi (Lappen) van Noorwegen, Zweden, Finland en Rusland, dat jaarlijks wordt georganiseerd in de plaats Kautokeino in het binnenland van de Finnmark.
SomBy maakt stevige rockmuziek en wordt geïnspireerd door onder meer Finse rock zoals Him die maakt. De band bestond oorspronkelijk hoofdzakelijk uit in fraaie gákti’s gestoken jongedames, maar is inmiddels versterkt met enkele mannelijke muzikanten.
