Alfredo Gonzalez
represents Asturias at Liet Ynternasjonaal. Asturias is a mountainous principality at the Spanish Atlantic coast situated between the Basque Country and Galicia. And like those regions Asturias also has its own language Asturian.
In the winter of 2009 Alfredo Gonzalez won the Asturian songcontest Premiu al Meyor Cantar with the song ‘La Nada y Tu’, which means ‘The great nothing and You’. Alfredo Gonzalez sings and also plays both piano and guitar. His first cd appeared six years ago and was in Spanish.
Recently Gonzalez made his first album in Asturian with ten songs. Gonzalez composed the songs with lyrics of the best contemporary Asturian poets. With this album hy won the price for the best fideoclip for the song La Nada y Tu and also the price for the best album of a singer-songwriter.
