Bandleden Lino Straulino
Lino Straulino
is de singer-songwriter van Friulië in het Noordoosten van Italië. Hij won onlangs de eerste editie van songfestival Suns in zijn vaderland met de gevoelige ballade Doman (Friulisch voor Morgen). Lino Straulino maakte tot dusver tien cd’s, allemaal in de Friulische taal. Hij werd geïnspireerd door folk, rock, protestliederen en poëzie. Zijn teksten zijn dan vaak ook poëtisch van aard.
Lino Straulino is wereldberoemd in Friulië en omgeving, maar daarbuiten veel minder. Lino gaat daar allesbehalve onder gebukt. Hij maakt de muziek die hij mooi vindt in de taal die hij mooi vindt en op de concerten en festivals die hij zelf uitkiest. Carrière maken in het Italiaans of Duits interesseert hem niet. Liet International en een reis naar Fryslân vindt hij wel bijzonder en hetzelfde geldt voor het feit dat hij met z’n verloofde op een boot mag slapen.
